We all know the type. Whenever there is trouble, this person miraculously shows up to stir the pot. As discord begins to smolder, there is often one that faithfully fans the flame.
But then there is also another that is usually flying below the radar. This one is whispering words of comfort, encouragement and optimism. The first is well known as a peace-breaker. The second, well that one is a peacemaker!
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. (Matthew 5:9)
The peacemakers are the good guys and have undertaken a mission to discourage animosity among others. Actually, many have accepted a calling from God into a specific ministry. What ministry you ask? The ministry of reconciliation!
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:17-18)
Today we live in a world where there is an over-abundance of peace-breakers. In fact, there are organizations that openly exist for that very purpose . They are busily at work doing everything they can to undermine the effectiveness of the standard for all truth, the Word of the Living God, the Holy Bible.
But The Force (the Holy Spirit) is with those that are born from above, and love Jesus, the Savior. These are longing for His soon coming when He will take His Bride, the Church, with Him to Paradise. Meanwhile, we are to be busy with that ministry that He has given us, the ministry of reconciliation. He is not willing that any should perish so we should attempt to mediate a reconciliation between those that are not born again and our precious Savior. We are to be witnesses on His behalf to the ends of the earth and to the end of time!
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. (Revelation 22:20)
